8 Foods you have to try
1. Thai food
Not because I’m Thai but I really recommend you trying just once if you love spicy food with or herbs and natural ingredient, you will love Thai food. Try Tom Yum Goong (Spicy Shrimp Soup) or Papaya salad. You can also tell a cook to adjust the taste from mild to super spicy as you like.
2. Japanese Food
Who don’t know Sushi? Japanese foods are very famous worldwide; a seafood topping on top of rice with wasabi. Most of Japanese foods are fresh and healthy. I love ramen myself, Japanese Noodle with various kinds of topping such as Tempura (Fried shrimp or veggies), Tonkotsu (Pork bone) or Shoyu (Soy Sauce).
3. Mexican Food
Viva Mexico! Actually in USA Mexican food is very famous here and my husband is an American- Mexican so I always have Mexican food. I love Mexican fried rice with bean and Guacamole (Mashed Avocado). I’d love you to try Quesadilla (Wrap tortilla with cheese), Taco (rolled tortilla with any meat). Basically Mexican foods are meat, carb and veggie with a spicy taste you will like it.
4. Arabic Food
When I say Arabic food people will think of Moroccan food and lamb Kebab but there are many interesting Arabic food s out there. I lived in Middle Eastern for a year and I really like their food. If you have a chance please try Shawarma (Sandwich with chicken or beef and veggie), Falafel (Deep-fried spiced ground chick-peas patties) and don’t miss Arabic Coffee with date.
5. Indian Food
Indian foods are pretty much like Arabic Food but more spicy with various kinds of herbs and spices. And if you are vegetarian you will definitely love Indian Food. You should try curry with Naan (Indian Bread), Chicken Biriyani and I recommend Samosa (Deep fried stuff pastry).
6. Korean Food
The most famous one is Korean B.B.Q with pork, chicken or beef plus a tasty sauce. You can have it with all side dishes like bean sprout, broccoli or tofu. For me I like Bi Bim Bap ( Mixed veggie with rice and hot sauce) and Kimchee (a traditional Korean fermented veggies) In my opinion if you like Japanese Chinese and Japanese food you shouldn’t miss Korean food.
7. Hawaiian Food
Since I got here I tried Hawaiian Foods, which have been influenced from multi - cultural such as Japanese Korean and Filipino. But authentic Hawaiian dish I’d love you to try is Kalua Pig (Hawaiian cooking method by cooking in underground oven covered with banana leaves), Huli Huli Chicken it’s like B.B.Q Chicken but with Hawaiian style and taste and don’t forget to try the most popular fish Mahimahi (a dolphin-fish) and Ahi (a yellow fin tuna)
8. Jamaican Food
Have you ever tried? I just did since I got here actually in Hawaii they call a mixed Hawaiian and Jamaican food as Jawaiian. The favorite one should be a jerk chicken; filled with hot Jamaican herbs and spices. And I also love the spiced shrimp with black bean with banana and rice as a side dish. You gotta try to spice up your life.
